About Me

Please read this post completely. If this sounds like you, please complete an application and we will be in touch. We have a very special boy coming into rescue. His name is Forest Gimp and he is almost 6 weeks old. We are working with his breeder to find him a very special home, one where he can get the support and care he will need. You see, Forest’s back leg got wrapped up in utero and did not develop as it should. Because of this, it is stunted and the nerves to the leg did not properly develop. He has been to the ortho specialist and he may need to have the leg removed in a few months.
We are looking for a home that has Rottie experience, because he is going to be 100% strong willed, smart, fun, energetic Rottie boy. We would also love if you have experience with physical special needs dogs and have the time to devote to making sure this amazing boy has the best life possible. He will need to go to a home with older kids and with dogs that aren’t going to be too rough and knock him down. His other back leg is going to need to be strong and healthy to continue to support his body weight as he gets older. We would also want you to have a single story house, preferably with carpet so he will have traction. I know this sounds weird, but going up and down stairs and maneuvering on hard floors is not going to be good for him.
All of his medical expenses are being covered, and we will not want him to be neutered until he is about 2 (which will also be paid for), so his bones and joints fully develop.

Want to Adopt me?

If you are interested in adopting Forest, please complete our pre-adoption application. We will require two personal references and a vet reference. We also do home checks and a meet and greet prior to adoption.

Please click the Adopt Me button to go to the application form.

If you are unable to adopt at this time but want to help us in our rescue efforts, please click on the Donate Now button. All donations go directly to the medical costs and comfort of the Rottweilers in our care while they wait for their forever home.

About Max

Are you looking for a gentle companion to lay at your feet, take slow evening strolls and just be together? Then you need to meet Max!

Maximus was picked up as a stray outside the hospital in Mobile Alabama. He was so tired from walking and surviving on whatever he could find to eat and drink and happy to let humans help him. He went into the shelter where they cared for him, he got his shots and was neutered, and they added him to their list of adoptable dogs. People came to see him, and called about him, but nobody ever came to bring him home with them. So, the kind ladies who worked there called our rescue.

You could not ask for a sweeter boy. Max is so calm, affectionate, gentle and trusting. In less than a day he had bonded to us, allowing us to touch him all over, rolling over for belly rubs. He is also a talker, grumbling and grunting and just telling you all about things. And he is a sucker for butt scratches! This boy does the most adorable butt scratch dance I have ever seen, if he had tap shoes on he would be tap dancing! He is house trained and dog friendly. He has seen cats and does not seem to have any reaction, he is just a super chill guy.

Max is recovering from prostatitis (it is the size of a baseball!) and is wearing a belly band because he dribbles a little bit. We have seen a huge improvement in just 48 hours so he shouldn’t have to wear it much longer. He is also very underweight, weighing only 69 pounds when we got him. This boy is tall and should be at least 90 pounds. He is also high heart worm positive, which we will be addressing once we have the prostate issue under control. He has also been shot with buckshot, you can see the white dots on his xray showing the shot under his skin. It is not causing him any pain.

Want to Foster me?

Please follow the link to complete our foster application and someone from the rescue will be in touch soon. Max is urgent so we will probably call you as soon as it is submitted!

If you are unable to foster at this time but want to help us in our rescue efforts, please click on the Donate Now button. All donations go directly to the medical care and comfort of the Rottweilers in our care while they wait for their forever home.

About Me

This little girl came to us as part of a packaged deal! We went to the shelter to rescue her mom, completely unaware that Mina existed. When we got there we were asked if we were taking the puppy too?! And we could not leave this sweet baby behind.

Mina and her mother were found in a remote area that off-road cyclists use. They were obviously dumped out there, probably with more puppies. But only Mina survived.

You could not ask for a more wonderful little girl. All she wants is to be held but she isn’t pushy or annoying. She really just wants to lay on her bed by your side while you are working. Her momma taught her to stay still in quiet, and she does. But she is still a puppy! She loves to play with her toys, with other big dogs, with us. We are working on potty training and she is a quick learner. She likes her crate but gets scared when she is left alone.

We know she doesn’t look Rottie, but her mom is a sweet little Rottie girl.

Want to Adopt me?

Mina is being fostered in the Florida Panhandle, in Pensacola. If you would like to give this adorable girl a forever home, please click on the Adopt Me button and complete our online application.

About Me

If you have a tennis ball you are Tiger’s new best friend! He is a great dog, loves people, cuddles, walks, play time. However, he is not a fan of small dogs. He was showing kennel reactivity while in boarding but has not shown any issues since he has gone into a local foster home. He has been in foster care since he was rescued in April, he is on his third home as we have found out who he is, gotten him in for surgery and worked to get him closer to us. He is doing fantastic in his current home and his personality is shining! He is not over energetic but loves to play. He is a very vocal guy, has a nice deep Rottie rumble that he likes to use frequently when tugging and playing with his ball. If he is in the mood to play, he will shove the toy at you, biting it and rumbling. It is adorable, but may not be good in a home with smaller kids.

He is housebroken, respectful of your things, doesn’t chew or getting into mischief. He can be left out of his crate unattended for longer periods of time and is a very good boy. He loves water, jumps and snaps at the house and has ventured into his foster mom’s pool a few time during pool parties! He has participated in pack walks with a small group of dogs close to his size and did fantastic. He is super excited to see them, but settled into the walk and didn’t invade their bubble. He does pull on the leash, I don’t think he has been on one often in his life. However, with a bit of work, we were successful in a bit of loose leash time! He wants so much to please and is a smart guy so I know he will get it with a bit of consistent training.

Tiger has just completed his cherry eye surgery (on 7/6/2021) and has been neutered. We are currently accepting applications for his adoption.

Are you looking for a new best buddy? Tiger is your guy!

About Me

Are you looking for a sweet guy to hang out with? Maybe relax on the sofa and watch some TV, or take a stroll around the park? Do you have cats, small dogs, big dogs that need a friend? If you answered yes to any and all of these questions then Jesse is the boy for you! He is just amazing, loves all people, four legged creatures, and those with wings (did I mention he is also good with ducks and chickens?). Jesse’s perfect day would be to wake up to a good cuddle, go out to play with his friends, have a good breakfast, and then hang out with you in the house, keeping you company while you worked or relaxed.

Jesse is about 4 years old and a Rottie mix, we believe with Bullmastiff. He is 135lbs of squishy face cuddles.

Jesse has been adopted!

About Me

Roxanne was found as a stray in Mobile Alabama. Brought into the shelter, she waited patiently for someone to come claim her. Her people never came. We were contacted by another rescue who sent us her sad face and asked if we could help get her safe. And our answer was, of course! After a bit of networking we were able to find Roxie a wonderful foster home. Her happy day came and she was so excited to take her freedom ride to her new home and meet her mommy. If all works out, she is going to stay.

She is taking medication for a bacterial skin infection and has recovered from an embedded collar wound. Unfortunately, when we got her into the vet, we discovered that Roxie is high heart worm positive. This means she will need to go through an expensive treatment of injections to kill them before they kill her. She is such a sweet girl and deserves a good life. And we will be doing everything we can to ensure she does. If you can help, please click on the Donate button below and help us with Roxanne’s treatment.

About Me

I went for a wander and couldn’t find my way home. I found a dry spot under someone’s trailer, the kitties who lived there said I could come stay with them. But the humans didn’t want me under there, even though I was super careful not to mess anything up when I crawled under. So, they called some other people who came and got me and took me to the shelter. It was safe and dry, and the lady there was super nice to me. And then another nice lady came and met me. And then that lady came back with two more really nice ladies and they let me get in their care and took me home with them! Now I am hanging out with them, getting clean and healthy and ready for my forever home.

Gabriel is a sweet guy. He has some skin issues (it may  be from the fiberglass under the mobile home he had crawled under), and is heart worm positive. He has started the first phase of treatment and will be done in two months (September).

Want to Adopt me?

Gabriel is going through fast kill heart worm treatment and will be available for adoption in September.

If you would like to help with Gabriel’s heart worm treatment, please click on the Donate to Gabriel button. The treatment takes 3 months and costs $600. During that time he must stay calm and quiet to keep his heart rate down so the worms do not mass in his heart as they die and create a blockage.
